What Does Cold-Pressed Actually Mean?

What Does Cold-Pressed Actually Mean?

You’ve probably heard the phrase cold-pressed juice.

But what does it actually mean?

And is it any different from the juice you might pick up from the supermarket? Let’s take a closer look.

So, what is cold-pressed juice?

Cold-pressed juice is made by extracting juice from fruit and vegetables using a hydraulic press rather than the high-speed spinning blades used in many conventional juicers.

The process gently presses the ingredients to release their juice.

At Yogilicious, cold-pressing is part of what makes our juices special. We want you to taste the ingredients. Fresh, vibrant and full of flavour.

Why does freshness matter?

Think about how you feel when you eat freshly prepared food compared with something that has been sitting around for days. Freshness matters to us because we want Yogilicious to feel like a genuinely fresh product. That’s why we keep our juices chilled and carefully manage how they are stored and delivered.

Our juices should be kept refrigerated at 0–4°C and, once opened, consumed within 24 hours. They can also be frozen, which is particularly useful if you’ve ordered a larger supply or one of our shot subscriptions.

It’s about the ingredients

One of the things we love about juice is how simple it can be.

Fruit, Vegetables, Herbs, Spices. Nothing complicated.

A combination of the right ingredients can create something that tastes completely different from the individual ingredients themselves. That’s what we try to capture with Yogilicious.

Our range includes colourful blends such as Green Goddess, Serenity Squeeze, Revitalise and Zen Refresher. Different flavours, different ingredients and different reasons to reach for them.

Juice isn’t a replacement for whole foods. This is important.

Juice can be a really convenient way of adding fruit and vegetables into your routine, but it shouldn’t be thought of as a replacement for a varied, balanced diet.

Whole fruits and vegetables provide fibre and a range of nutrients, so I always think of juice as something that can complement your lifestyle rather than replace everything else.

That’s the Yogilicious approach. Add goodness. Don’t obsess over perfection. Make it easy

For us, one of the biggest benefits of having a fresh juice or shot ready to go is simply convenience. Because sometimes the hardest part of making healthy choices is having something good available when you’re busy.

Put a bottle in the fridge.

Take a shot with you.

Enjoy a juice alongside your breakfast or lunch.

Create a ritual that works for you. Wellness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply about making the better choice the easier choice. And that’s where cold-pressed juice fits beautifully into everyday life.
